Work With Us!

Working with the Sophienburg Museum & Archives in New Braunfels offers a wonderfully immersive experience in celebrating our German‑Texan heritage and community history. Located on the historic site of Prince Carl and the Adelsverein’s original “Sophie’s Castle,” the museum’s team—which includes Director Jenn Singleterry and Curator Keva Hoffmann Boardman—is deeply committed to preserving local artifacts, documents, and oral histories dating back to New Braunfels’s founding in 1845.

Whether contributing as a volunteer—helping greet guests, guide educational tours, assist in archives research, or even support special events like Kaffeeklatsch, Bürger Ball, or Weihnachtsmarkt

Become part of a passionate team dedicated to community outreach and historical storytelling. Collaborating on programs, from summer camps and local festivals to research initiatives and fundraising drives, provides a hands-on way to connect with the region’s rich cultural narrative and help ensure its stories continue to inspire future generations.
