Blue Star Museums — a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America — offer free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel, including National Guard and Reserve and their families, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The Sophienburg Museum & Archives is located at:
401 W. Coll Street New Braunfels, Texas.
- 45 minutes south of Austin on I-35
- 30 minutes south of Canyon Lake on FM 306
- 30 minutes northeast of San Antonio on I-35
DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS
- Driving from Austin on I-35, take exit #187 onto Seguin Avenue. Turn left at the light onto Coll Street.
- From Canyon Lake on FM 306, go south and turn right onto I-35 South. take exit #188 right onto Seguin Avenue. Turn left on Coll Street at the light.
- From San Antonio, going northbound on I-35, take exit #188. Turn left onto Seguin Avenue. Turn left on Coll Street at the light.
PARKING
The entrance to the parking lot is on the side streets of Academy or Magazine. Parking is available directly in front of the museum.
