Coffee, Conversation, and Crafts
Join us for a morning coffee break with a German twist. Make new and meet old friends while creating a unique ornament. Sip a cup of coffee and enjoy a sweet treat.
Do all this at the historic Emmie Seele Faust Library at the Sophienburg Museum and Archives, 401 W. Coll St., New Braunfels, TX 78130.

- February 19, 2025, 9:00-10:30 AM – Quilled paper shamrock ornament
- March 19, 2025, 9:00-10:30 AM – Eggshell diorama ornament
- April 16, 9:00-10:30 AM – Frida Kahlo mini pinata ornament
- May 21, 9:00-10:30 AM – Salt dough ornament using German Springerle roller
- June 18, 9:00-10:30 AM – Vellum paper origami bell ornament
- July 16, 9:00-10:30 AM – Terra cotta ornament
- August 20, 9:00-10:30 AM – Felted wool ball with embroidery ornament
- September 17, 9:00-10:30 AM – Wood bead vegetable ornament
- October, November, December – No Kaffeeklatsch, but watch for us to start up again in January 2026

All are welcome! Join us to sit and visit over coffee and treats or engage with us in making an ornament. We want to include something to do with your hands while you visit. There will also be a discussion each month about the history and culture of the ornament. Bring a friend or two and check us out.
