There are numerous ways to support the Sophienburg Museum & Archives.

In the Museum, volunteers greet visitors and guide them  through the exhibits.

In the Archives, volunteers assist in accessioning and cataloging written materials; data entry, assisting the public in research requests; and working with our extensive photo collection. There are even opportunities for men who like to “tinker” around the house.

Sophie’s Shop, the museum gift shop, offers opportunities for volunteers to assist the shop manager with ideas and manpower in the day-to-day operations of the shop.

The Museum offers special events and educational experiences for the community. Volunteers are always needed to assist with tours, history camps and fundraising events.
